When our longtime friends the Dockstaders approached our studio about an elevated rebrand of their family lodge just outside the gates of Zion National Park, we were in. Central to our efforts was the repositioning of Cliffrose Lodge as Cliffrose, a Curio Collection property by Hilton. We set our sights on developing a four-diamond-worthy brand authentic to its roots and inspired by its surroundings.
We began with an identity discovery process that set the tone for renewed messaging, visual identity, web design and ad campaigns. Unique to this project was the development of Cliffrose's multi-branded onsite amenities, including the Five Petals Spa and Anthera restaurant. Our team also took hold of the reins in architectural and design collaboration, providing identity compliance and inspiration roles for the architect and interior design firm.
Infusing Cliffrose's heritage into the rebrand was a priority for us. Though he had passed on, we sought to incorporate the spirit of the founder of Cliffrose and patriarch of the Dockstader family throughout the hotel's new identity. We accomplished this in ways that were meaningful to the family and community, from incorporating bohemian accents in interior design to honoring the garden (his pride and joy).
